The Lens

Hebrews 12:2 – Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. (NIV)

Simple Prayer

My husband works for himself doing renovations. He loves his work as it gives him great pleasure to see the happy faces of the people whose homes he works in. He also has an amazing ability to speak Jesus into their lives. Sometimes, it is not well received, but sometimes, people listen quietly. Both responses are okay as he is doing what we are all called to do.

Acts 22:15 – You will be his witness to all men of what you have seen and heard. (NIV)

Visionary

2 Corinthians 5:1 – For we know that if our earthly house, this tent, is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. (NKJV)

Acts 2:17 – And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, that I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your young men shall see visions, your old men shall dream dreams. (NKJV)

Technology

Recently, I went to the local bike shop to see about handlebar tape for my bike. I have been using hockey tape on them, but over time, it seems to get sticky, so I decided to see what the bike shop sold. I didn't let on that I had been using hockey tape, but soon, I realized that it might be easier to use the hockey tape, as I stood looking at a nicely-laid-out peg board wall filled with many kinds of handlebar tape, some made of cork and some made of gel.

Posted Speed

I have been travelling the same way to work for the past four years, and I have been aware of the posted speed limit for this stretch of road. Today, on my way into work, I noticed a new sign that lowered the posted speed limit for a long stretch before it changed back to the speed that it had been posted at previously. I shared about the changed speed limit with the people at work so that they would be aware, as many of them travel this same stretch of road.
